Q: Soft close trunk feature not working

asked by on

The soft close trunk feature in my car is not working.

This is a common issue on your car. Most of the time it is caused by a programming issue. The rear module needs to be reprogrammed to fix this. If the problem continues then the contact sensors may have failed. A computer scan tool wound be needed to read this module to see what the sensors are reading when this occurs. If you are not able to do this on your own, consider YourMechanic, as a certified mechanic can come to your home or office to diagnose this.
