Q: Battery needs replacing.

asked by on

Car won't start. I think it is probably the battery.

The car won’t start or the car won’t turn over? Car won’t start would not be the battery, but some other cause like the fuel pump or the ignition module. The battery may be the cause of won’t turn over and a quick check if to see if the headlight come on and stay on if you try and crank the car. If the lights go out when you try and crank then you may have a battery or cable issue. The recommendation is to have a mechanic check the system.
