Q: Putting on the emergency brake causes the car to stall.

asked by on

The car turns off when I put the emergency brake on.

Hello, the engine should not turn off when the parking brake is engaged. A scanner will need to be connected to see if there are any codes and to monitor any live data to see what the cause is for the engine turning off. You will need to enlist the aid of a mechanic to scan the vehicle for codes and data.
