Q: Power windows and sunroof don't work

asked by on

The power windows and sunroof don't work.

The most common reason your sunroof model may fail to open is by it being off track due to defective track rails. In most cases, the deteriorated rails will have to be replaced then the sunroof fitted to the new rails. I suggest that a technician inspect the sunroof rails for deterioration and determine if the existing rails can be reused. About 40% of the time the rails will be ok and the sunroof will simply need to be placed back on track. The window not working can also be caused by the following: a bad window motor, bad window regulator, bad window switch, or an electrical interruption. The most common being a bad window regulator. A technician will be able to test the said components to identify what is causing your sunroof issue.
