Throttle Body Replacement $252.08 - $1797.29 Get a Quote

Hello, thank you for writing in. You are throwing a code for the throttle body actuator control motor. More particularly, it means that the computer which monitors the throttle actuator has detected that the motor is working outside of it normal electrical range. Typically this means the unit has failed, but can also indicate an issue with the throttle position sensor or the pedal position sensor. If there were any other codes detected, then you will want to use those to help you pinpoint exactly what component needs help. If the P2118 code is the only present, then chances are higher the throttle body actuator motor needs to be replaced. Well the check engine light is blinking. A track light keeps coming on and there seems to be loss of power. Engine running rough.

Hello. If the check engine light is flashing then that typically means that there is a cylinder misfire. This can be caused by a bad spark plug, spark plug coil, or fuel injector. It can also be caused by something...

Upon hitting a curb, a piece of aluminum with foam on it ( about the size of my hand ) ripped off of my 14 focus. what is it?

If you hit a curb hard enough to cause a splash or heat shield (or bumper fascia component, if it is that) to dislodge, I would be more worried about damage to the tire, rim, and possibly the suspension, particularly...

Hesitation, sputtering and check engine light flickering

My car clicks once and won't start.

transmission control module failing. We just replaced the computer module (pcm) 4 days ago?

Mitsubishi Triton 4D56 - Engine Light and no start

Hey there. This code suggests that the intake throttle valve is not functioning correctly. When you say you give it gas and it starts, does this mean you are opening the throttle valve and putting gas into the engine manually?...

I think the anti-lock security on my car is active and it doesn't start.

Hi there. Look at the anti-theft system on the vehicle and see if the light is flashing. If the light is flashing, then remove the battery cables and leave them off for 13 minutes. While the cables are off, put...

Will not attempt to start. Engine has spark. Also noticed oil was in the intake tube.

Hi there. Check to see if the fuel injectors are working. You can back probe them with a digital meter and see if the voltage is being metered. If the injectors are working, then check the crankshaft position sensor and...
