My car has 180000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi there:

It’s possible that your battery cables are damaged, wiring to the starter relay is faulty or the starter relay itself is damaged and needs to be replaced. It’s also common with early 2000 GMC’s for ignition relay’s to be faulty. It might be best for your to contact a professional mobile mechanic and have them complete a car is hard to start inspection.
