Thank you for taking the time to let us help you out with this problem and hopefully we can sort it out quickly. Please understand that I do not know your knowledge or capabilities so I may need to ask questions to find out basic information to help solve your specific problem. Sometimes it may take a moment for me to respond because I may have to look up information about your concern. I appreciate your patience and will provide responses as soon as possible. There are many possible causes for this problem. It could be faulty wiring, ignition system fault, module fault, fuel system problem, engine sensor failure, etc. To determine the problem you would need to use a scan tool that can read engine data and record data so you can see what specifically is happening. Is the fuel trim off?, is the crankshaft sensor signal gone?, etc. This would be the only way to figure it out. Without testing I would suspect that you have a problem with the ignition system such as worn [spark plugs](/topics-spark-plug-nissan/). If the check engine light is on, that would help out a lot because it could identify a specific fault. You would need to have the computer scanned to get the trouble codes stored in the module. If you can give me these codes, I would be able to pinpoint a specific cause for this problem. My goal is to give you the best service possible and to help you. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let me know. If I’m not online at the time, I will respond ASAP when I get back.

Hello Yesenia, Nice to meet you!

Nice to meet you
Automotive Expert
I am sorry to hear about this vibration feeling you are getting on your 2010 Rouge. I will do my best to help you with this. So when it comes to these types of issues, they are certainly best to be checked in person. But I will certainly share with you somethings I have seen and what I would check based on your description.

I understand I was just looking for other advice as I keep getting different answers. I've replaced one motor mount because that's what was suggested but did not make a difference
Automotive Expert
So I understand you had one engine mount replaced. You do have others, so you certainly want to check the other engine and transmission mounts. The power Steering rack mounting I would also check. If the steering rack bushings have failed, the rack of course could vibrate and since it's so close to the firewall, you would feel that in the floor and the steering column like you are describing. I would also check engine exhaust mounting. If an exhaust hanger has broken, the vibration of the engine does transfer through the exhaust and if the exhaust mounting broke or became undone, you would feel this vibration through out the vehicle which can come and go based on engine rpms.

Is that something I can visibly check for? I was also suggested that it can be a universal joint that's going bad. I did notice when moved from park to drive it clicks
Automotive Expert
Front drive shaft joint is possible. But you would only get this when the vehicle moving.

it only does it when driving at a certain speed. if it's at a stop it does not shake
Automotive Expert
Then yes, It could be a drive shaft joint. Some drive shaft joints can be replaced. Some require the drive shaft to be replaced. But of course it should be checked to verify You only have the one drive shaft which goes from the transfer case to the rear diff

Is it visible to where I can see it's going bad ?It confuses me because not only does it vibrate but I can also hear loud engine moving up and down or at least that what it sounds like.
Automotive Expert
It may be visible, or you may need to grab the drive shaft and wiggle and pull on it to see if there is any play in joints.

Is that part usually easy to access at like an autozone ? What would be the exact name?
Automotive Expert
I do not suggest using aftermarket parts for this. It's not a easy part to replace. It does require the drive shaft to be removed and may require a press to push out the joint and also to install the new one. It's certainly something you want to have checked. If your drive shaft has a center bushing, and the bushing is bad, that also can produce this as well, but would require the drive shaft to be replaced.

I should purchase from the actual Nissan dealer.
Automotive Expert
If it requires a drive shaft replacement, the dealer would be the only place you can get it, unless you get one used of course.

Ok thank you so much

You are very welcome. Thank you for using JustAnswer.com and be safe! Kind Regards, Jay!
