Q: My car starts only after sliding battery side to side, why?

The only way to start my car is to move the battery side to side then turn the key.

My car has 138000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

You may have a cable that is not making a good connection or the internal battery plates are shorting out and battery would need replaced. Have battery tested and replace if fails load test.
