Hi There, This may suggest that your brake pads are worn and due to be replaced or that you have a leak somewhere in your brake hydraulic system. The brake reservoir has a sensor inside that detects when the brake fluid reaches a certain point which generally indicates that it is time to replace the pads. As your pads wear thinner and thinner over time, the brake lines require more and more brake fluid to maintain the same amount of hydraulic pressure in the brake lines. As a result, the brake fluid level sensor will trigger a warning light indicating that the brake fluid level is low.

Your car is equipped with wheel speed sensors at each of the four wheels which monitor wheel speed while relaying this information constantly to the ABS and traction control system which are controlled by the car’s ECU. When the ECU senses an abnormal speed given specific conditions, it engages the ABS or traction control as needed to control the vehicle properly and safely. Occasionally, these sensors can fail or become faulty working intermittently sending inaccurate signals to the ECU. When this happens, you may experience the symptoms you have described. The ABS or traction control system may be inadvertently activated by these false or inaccurate signals. I would suggest having a professional from Your Mechanic come to your to diagnose ad inspect your vehicle.

Truck misfires when the engine warms up - 1995 Chevrolet C3500

Whether I should by a 2003 escalade with 300,000 miles on it?
Hi there. 300,000 miles is a lot for a 2003 Escalade, however, mileage tends to be less of an impact with today's technology. The critical thing to determine is how well maintained the vehicle as been; and how many previous...

Which wheels get power in an 18-wheeler?
Hi there. The term "18-wheeler" is kind of misleading. The typical heavy duty semi/trailer combination has a tire configuration like this: The front two tires are responsible for steering and braking. The next set of (8) tires on the semi-truck...
I have a 1995 Lexus LS400. Yesterday, the speedometer stopped working and the engine was sputtering.
This may be caused by a faulty transmission speed sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/speed-sensor-replacement). The speed sensor reads the rotational speed of the reluctor wheel, located within the transmission. The speed sensor also controls the anti-lock braking system. Driving with a bad speed...
