Q: It cranks but does not start

asked by on

It tries to start but wont fire right up

My car has an automatic transmission.

It would help to know a bit about the engine size. This model can have 6 different engines configurations. If the vehicle has a crank no start, then you will need to isolate the problem area by first testing for spark to the spark plugs and then looking at fuel pressure to the injection system. After these checks are complete, a more accurate diagnosis can be done. If you need help with these tests, a certified technician from YourMechanic can come to your car’s location to have the starting issue inspected.
