Q: I bought a used 1991 honda civic 3 door hatchback and when I start my car it accelerates on its own. What is wrong with it?

asked by on January 21, 2018

I bought a used 1991 honda civic 3 door hatchback and when I start my car it accelerates on its own. It has stalled and turned off on me before when driving. I'm not sure if it is the pump on the carburetor or if it is just the gas pedal itself sticking.
My car has an automatic transmission.
