Your trunk is the largest storage area in your Altima, and chances are good that you’ll need to get into it frequently, including in low-light situations. The trunk light is designed to illuminate the interior when the lid is open. Here’s how it works:
Open the trunk to turn on the light.
Close the trunk to turn the light off.
If you leave the trunk open, the light will stay on for only 15 minutes and then will turn itself off to save your battery.
