Q: How do you replace the passenger power seat switch? Having a hard time taking off the Side panel that holds switch in place..

asked by on March 13, 2017

My power seat switch on passenger seat is broken, how do I take off the side panel that holds switch in place, having a hard time taking panel off & I don't want to break it...

My car has 64631 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Remove the bolts that hold on the panel to the seat. Then you may have to remove the bolts that secure the seat to the floor to lift up the seat rail and gain access to the rail bolts to the switch. Then the switch could be removed. The switch may be riveted on and require a drill to drill out the rivet to remove the switch from the bracket. If you need further assistance with your passenger side seat switch replacement, then seek out a professional, such as one from Your Mechanic, to help you.

Slight engine tick, not a bad sound in one but I'd just like if k could fix it.
There are few situations that require the engine to be revved to 2200 rpm when the transmission is in neutral. Some small ticking noises can come from exhaust leaks at the exhaust manifold (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/exhaust-manifold-replacement). One thing some people try to...

Although the battery is new, it still should be load tested (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/battery-is-dead-inspection) to ensure that the issue is not a faulty battery. Starter motors require a lot of current and just because the lights work, that doesn't mean the battery...
