How do I stop the engine in another gear other than Park?

While you generally put the gear into park before turning off the engine, there may be times when you will stop it in neutral.

  1. Put the parking brake on.

  2. Move the shifter to P.

  3. Look for the indicator light to be green and flash. Once this happens, press the Engine Start Stop button one time.

  4. Make sure the indicator light shuts off.
