Q: Click no start

asked by on June 27, 2017

Car shut off while accelerating to 80 mph lightning bolt flashed on dashboard as I accelerated then car lost power. I pulled over and tried to start. When I would turn the key I would get a click, then turn again and engine would turn over slightly. Turn the key again and just a click. I was having problems with the car starting up earlier this week. I would have to move wires on the starter for it to start up. So I'm thinking the problem is more electrical than mechanical. The car drove fine with no issues for 12 hours then right before I make it home this happens.

My car has 130000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
