If it has spark while cranking, check to see if it will run in starting fluid. You can have an assistant sit in the driver seat and crank the [engine](/topics-engine-chevy/) over while you spray starting fluid into the intake. It should start and run up and running this test. If so and the fuel pressure is good as could be poor quality fuel or maybe there's no injector pulse for some reason. Just be sure that the security system is not activated in the security light is not on solid or flashing with the ignition turned on. If there's no spark while cranking then you're gonna need to check the primary and secondary ignition components along with all of the fuses on board a vehicle. You should have an [ignition coil](/topics-ignition-coil-chevy/) and a ignition control module. With a key on and while cranking it should be battery voltage going to both of those. You also have a pick up inside the distributor and a crankshaft position sensor on the transmission bell housing. In addition do you have the tuneup components which is the [spark plugs](/topics-spark-plug-chevy/), distributor cap and rotor. Be sure to check all of those as well.
