Q: Check engine light is on car sluggish and shaky

asked by on February 08, 2017

I am late for my oil change. Today my car check engine light came on. Car was shaky and sluggish...is this need new oil related?
My car has an automatic transmission.

Your check engine light is on due to the misfire and engine running issue and should not be due to the oil change overdue. You should have the check engine light scanned then the code can identify that cause of the running problem. You most likely have a spark plug or plug wire shorting out.
