Q: Central Locking/Alarm Fail

asked by on February 01, 2017

I deleted my rear wiper & wiper motor. In the process, i forgot to re-connect the plug that controls the boot lock and license plate lights(without knowing). I removed the central locking fuse to check it - it appeared fine. I then realised my mistake and re-connected the plug - boot now closes fine and license plate lamps work.

However, my central locking is now failing, thus my alarm is not setting. I can unlock both doors by manually using the key in the drivers door. However, i cannot lock the passenger door or boot using the key or the center console.
My car has a manual transmission.
