Q: Car won't start 2006 Audi

asked by on June 11, 2017

My car won't start. I hooked it up to an individual reader and it says misfire on cylinder 1 3 and 4. And the I/m monitor status on top the 02s, htr, cat, and eva all blink and it says pending. I changed spark plugs and ignition coils and still nothing. I had a mechanic come and hook up his computer and he said that engine speed sensor came up as well as low pressure fuel sensor intake air sensor Evap purge valve. Not sure where to start I changed purge valve. Don't have a lot of money and I was thinking about getting a mechanic from here. Just needed some advice

My car has 89000 miles.

Loud metallic clicking noise from engine
Hi there. If there is a grinding noise when trying to crank the engine then most of the time it is caused by the starter failing (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-starter). If the starter gear is not engaging correctly then this will occur. It...

How to know if brakes or wheel bearings are bad?
Hello, thank you for writing in. The steering, brakes, and suspension (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/brakes-steering-and-suspension-inspection) are all very closely related. Often you can feel issues in any of these symptoms in the steering wheel first. If its hard to turn and feels like...
My heater and airconditioner quit blowing out air.
Although the blower motor might not be running because a fuse blew, the problem is fuses usually blow due to an electrical malfunction in the circuit such as a short. Fuses are simply "protection devices" and when they blow it...
