Q: Car jerks when idling and the most when I’m at a stop with heat on full blast.

asked by on January 01, 2018

When I start my car and it’s idling, it jerks. When I drive and come to a stop, it acts like it jerks forward and wants to die. When I have my heat on full blast when driving, I can feel it jerk somewhat. What seems to be the issue?

If you are getting a rough idle with misfire only at idle or coming to a stop and runs fine when driving above idle is usually caused by a vacuum leak in the intake or vacuum hoses. You will need to have the engine checked for intake vacuum leaks.
