My car has an automatic transmission.
The sun cannot drain your battery. Excessive hot or cold conditions can cause premature failure of a battery. If your battery is going dead then you need to have battery charged and tested along with the charging system tested and battery checked for an electrical draw on the battery that will drain it overnight if excessive.
