Q: Battery possibly dead and car won't start.

The car does not start and the battery is probably dead.

The battery on these cars is the most common problem when the engine doesn’t crank. If you ran the battery down trying to start the engine then you may have a camshaft or a crankshaft sensor failure. The recommendation I would have for you would be to have a qualified technician check the battery and scan the computer for the cause of the no start.
