Q: 98 zj 5.2 v8 with coolant leak but not overheating

asked by on December 24, 2016

My grand cherokee is leaking coolant around the serpantine belt somewhere i think an also had a breif moment where power steering spudderd. Have been told its more then likely my water pump. Want to know for sure before i spend the money on one and replace it myslef

My car has 300000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

The only way to make sure where it is leaking is to put pressure on the cooling system and then visual check the entire system to locate the leak. The water pump is the most common cause of the leak in this area.
