We have a 2001 Toyota Highlander that has been sitting for a couple months in our driveway not driven. We had to jump start and when we did the engine rev was close to red on the dial. We tried several times, but it kept revving way up each time. We know the shifting central cylinode needs repair and 2 valves on the back side of the engine need to be changed out and that it sucks oil. We are trying to get the car drivable enough to get it serviced. Before we go through all that expense, we are hoping this is a easy fix and won't require a tow. Does the revving issue sound like a huge problem? Any thoughts you have on checking/fixing this is appreciated. Thank you.
