I was a little wary about using YourMechanic since I had not used a service like this before. However, Chris changed my mind about it. He was a true professional throughout the whole experience. He showed up on time and kept me updated. He thoroughly explained things out while doing the inspection. The issue I had was that my car was not starting. Chris thought that the issue was the dead battery, and offered to take it home to charge it. He later updated me that unfortunately, the battery was dead. It was about time since I had not changed it in about 10 years. He came back a day later with a new battery, installed it, and voila! The car thankfully started. Chris is the perfect example of an honest mechanic. He could have charged me for doing multiple visits to complete the diagnostic or up-charged me for the cost of the battery since he drove to pick up a new one, but he didn’t. If I ever need a mechanic to come to me again, I will definitely use his services again!

Headlights go out randomly, will come back on after
Answered by Derek
As silly as it sounds, the issue is most likely caused by an intermittent failure in your Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). Of course it’s important to have the circuit and connections checked, but the TIPM is the most common...
