How to Renew Your Car Registration in Oregon

registration Oregon

Living in Oregon comes with a variety of different benefits. The great atmosphere and pristine roadways are just a few of the benefits that this state has to offer. When first moving to this state, you will need to make sure that the car you drive is registered with the Oregon DMV. Every year, you will be required to renew this registration. The DMV will send you a notice in the mail that will allow you to find out when the renewal is due and what you have to do to handle it. Here are some of the methods that you can use when trying to handle this registration renewal.

Going online to renew

If you want to use the online renewal option that Oregon offers, you will need to take the following steps:

  • Go to the DMV website
  • If you are eligible to use this feature, then there will be a code on your renewal notice
  • Have the numbers from your title and license plate handy to enter in
  • Pay that fees that the system says you owe

Handling things in person

In order to handle the renewal in person, you will need to go to your local Oregon DMV. Be sure to take the following things with you before you head out to the DMV:

  • The completed renewal notice and application
  • The insurance policy for the vehicle
  • Your Oregon driver’s license
  • The payment to cover the fees that you owe
