Car is hard to start Inspection $79.99 - $89.99 Get a Quote

Hello. If the battery voltage is low when the vehicle is first started then chances are that the battery is failing. It sounds like the alternator is working correctly due to the voltage that is produced when the engine is running. I would usually start by doing a load test of the battery. If the battery fails the test then it is bad. If it actually passes the test then it may have high resistance in the positive battery cable or a starter that is failing.
