Hello and welcome to JustAnswer, my name is\*\*\*\*\*'m so sorry for all of your troubles and hopefully, I can help you out today. A lot of times brake rotors develop grooves in them, that form on the new pads and that's when you start getting funny noises and squealing. I suggest next time change the rotors and put ceramic brake pads for a very quiet experience.

Hiya, thank you for the reply. Would it make sense that the noise only happens at a higher speed if it is the brake rotors? So it wouldnt help to only replace the pads I would need to replace the rotors also? I've seen a lot online about the wheel bearings causing noises at higher speed but it's not a humming / whirring noise it is like a squeeling / ticking noise. I've already had a couple of repairs this year so I'd like to have some idea before going in. Cheers again !

bearings would make a humming sound not squealing or ticking, also check the brake hardware on the calipers. Sometimes they come loose and touch the rotors and they squeal.

It is the same as this noisehttps://youtu.be/bCBuQkOzZEEIs it more likely to be calipers?

I can't seem to get into that link, but no, not the caliper itself. the caliper bracket has clips to hold the brake pads firmly, those clips are the ones you have to check if they are missing rotted or broken.

Ok cheers

Good luck.
