Q: Temperate gauge is reading high but the truck is not hot

asked by on

I have changed the radiator , water pump , temp sensor on the block and the thermostat . The motor is not hot but the gauge is reading high please help

My car has 200000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

This suggests that you may have a faulty or incorrectly wired temperature sensor or gauge. I would recommend having an expert mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, come to your location to determine exactly what the problem is and replace your temperature sensor if needed.
