Q: spark plug wires

asked by on September 11, 2016

does the angle type matter when replacing wire cords. ex I had 45 degree angle boots can I put on 180 degree?

It all depends on the vehicle and engine you have. The use of 45 degree angle wire boots is so the boot does not tough or get near the exhaust manifold. The 180 degree wire boots may get the wire boot too close to the manifold and overheat the wire and cause misfires.
