Q: Something dragging underneath car

asked by on February 18, 2016

Something under my bumper came loose and fell. Now, it is dragging every time I drive.

Hello, your car has what is called splash shields. They are attached to the bumper and cover the oil pan and transmission. Often, the plastic clips come loose or break, causing the splash shield to hang down. The splash shield and broken clips need to be replaced. This should be done by a certified technician in order to ensure the proper repairs.
