Q: Replacing ceramic brake pads

asked by on

what is the recommended mileage used before ceramic brake pads needs replacing.

Thanking you in advance Sir

My car has 44000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hello. It is not a recommended mileage to change the pads but to inspect them every time the tires are rotated or vehicle is serviced. The pads should be changed when they are worn down at the thinnest part at or below 3 mm or 3/32. This is the general recommended time to replace the pads.
