How many brakes are on a Toyota Corolla from 2006 and what is the average cost for fixing

Hello, thank you for writing in. The 2006 Toyota Corolla has two different types of brakes on the vehicle. It will have two front disk brakes. These are considered the best types of brakes, and are used in front because this is a front wheel drive vehicle. The vehicle will also have two dumb style brakes in the back. The parking brake will be attached to the back brakes. The front disk brakes utilize "brake pads" to stop the vehicle. While the drum brakes use "shoes". If replacing the brakes, make sure you do both sets at the same time. If only replacing one, make sure you do both left and right brake in that set.
