Q: Headlights do not work.

asked by on January 26, 2017

Just before Christmas, my Rad was changed. A week after that, the rad hose blew. A week after that I had another Rad leak. The day after I fixed that I found out that the head gasket was gone. I redid the engine but after the hose blew I shorted out the high beams. Was told that the fuse box had to be change, no power. I left it because I could go without high beams and because I was told it would cost $1800 after I just spent almost $4000 on the car. Now, today my low beams went out. It's not the bulb as I put a new one in. I believe it's the fuse box shorting out. I honestly couldn't afford to fix the engine as my credit cards are maxxed out but I need headlight and don't know what to do do or to even trust what anyone says anymore. I need to know the cheapest possible way to fix my headlights.

My car has 200000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
