HI Ginger, it's nice to meet you. It sounds like you may want to try and jump-start the car. If you found corrosion, then it's possible that prevented the battery from charging the last time you drove the car. This would cause a no-start. Leave the donor car on it for 15 minutes, then attempt to start your car. You should hear the engine sort of lag a little on the donor car when you have a good connection. Please try this and let me know.

Okay thank you! I will be back with you!

You're welcome, I should be here!

Alright Mike, it unfortunately did not work.
Automotive Expert
Ok, sorry to hear that, is there any clicking or anything when you try to start the car?

there is clicking and the engine seems to begin starting but not turn over
Automotive Expert
Ok, so I am clear, the engine is cranking and not starting or no cranking at all?

cranking
Automotive Expert
Ok, if it's cranking and not starting, I think we should see about trying to get some codes. You are going to need a code reader to do this. The flashing check engine light may mean there is an electrical issue we can't solve here, but if we can get a code it might help. We have to try and find what's missing, either spark or fuel, a code could help

I may have one, although I am not sure, I will be back to let you know.
Automotive Expert
Sounds good, I should be here.

We used our OBD2 and no fault codes were present... We may just need to take to a shop. Clearly not all too familiar with vehicles.
Automotive Expert
The flashing check engine light is curious, I believe you have an electrical fault somewhere, possibly the main fuse box under the hood. Without being there however it's impossible for me to know where to start with checking the electrical system. I am sorry
