What engine size? DO you have injector pulse and no spark?

Truck 5.2
Automotive Expert
Ok if you have injector pulse, then you have an rom signal. Do you have [battery](/topics-battery-dodge/) voltage to the coil but no pulsed ground to fire it? Any diagnostic trouble codes stored?

No codes stored
Automotive Expert
Ok and the coil circuit?

I'm sorry I'm lost on that
Automotive Expert
Ok, you would need to make sure the [ignition coil](/topics-ignition-coil-dodge/) has battery voltage to it with the key on, and check for a pulsed ground from the powertrain control module when cranking. No ground can be a wiring problem or a possible bad PCM.

How do I check for a pulsed ground?
Automotive Expert
With a test light hooked up to the positive side of the battery terminal to check for a ground. It should pulse on and off if it has a ground signal. Or using a noid lamp plugged into the coil electrical connector.

Is there a way to check PCM
Automotive Expert
Yes, by testing the wiring and the circuit for the coil.

Thank you very much for your time and attention
