The OBD-II error code P-0016 is a generic code that indicates that the camshaft position sensor for bank one does not correlate to the signal from the crankshaft position sensor. Some of the common trigger points that create this code may include the camshaft timing is out of position due to the timing chain jumped teeth, problems with the camshaft phaser, clogged oil galley's, an issue with the Oil Control Valve or filter. If you need additional assistance finding the issue or replacing the damaged components, one of our local mechanics can help diagnose the code in person and advise on the correct repair.
