asked by on

My car runs hot when driving short distances. I was told I need a heat temperature sensor replaced.

There are a couple possibilities. It could be an instrumentation issue, but that is not that common. The most common issue for your car is head gasket failure. That can cause the problem your having by pumping hot combustion gases into the cooling system. A qualified mechanic from YourMechanic can come and diagnose your vehicle’s overheating issue to have this problem solved.
