Q: Car refuses to start after breaking down on highway.

asked by on

While driving on the highway the RPMs went to zero, lost power steering, and the gas pedal no longer works, though the electronics still work. The car will not turn over now.

I would suggest that you have the computer scanned with a code reader to determine if and codes were generated. There is a problem with the fuel pump on that year model. I would have a technician come out and test the computer and see if you have spark and fuel going to the engine.
