Q: Car leaks power steering fluid

asked by on

My car is leaking power steering fluid.

The power steering system consists of the pump, lines and rack and pinion. A leak can come from anywhere in this system. The best way to pinpoint the source is to clean everything off, put dye in the system, then run the vehicle and observe where the dye comes from. A trained technician, such as one from YourMechanic, can inspect your power steering fluid leak to find the leak source, and make the repair.
