75,000 Miles Maintenance Service

by Chee from San Jose, CA 95131

Robert called ahead of time, arrived on time, performed the work promptly. He explained all the work that was done (a regular maintenance). I had some questions after the repair, Robert answered the questions even after 7 pm and came out to check the car just to be sure. Couldn't be happier.

Robert did a great job diagnosing my car. He arrived on time, took his time diagnosing the car and I could tell he cared to do a good job. Robert enjoys what he does and that makes him a good mechanic. Than You Robert! Claudia

Love this guy! Really swell and extremely thorough and asked if I wanted anything looked at which goes above and beyond what I was expecting. Pardeep is very friendly and socialable. I enjoyed his visit very much so and love to do more business with him and ONLY him as my mechanic for my Volvos.

This guy is outstanding. Changing the alternator on my car was quite the challenge! He pulled through and did not give up until everything was perfect! He even allowed me to fix my tire using my 12v compressor and his van! He is excellent and has excellent character plus professionalism! He needed some help because the job was stressful. My car is a P3 Volvo S80 V8 and it not always easy to deal with because of everything in the engine bay is so cramped for a transversely mounted 4.4L engine. He had to remove the control arm and the axel then he had to reach for the alternator in the wheel well. Not an easy thing considering the nut was torqued hard, and he needed an extra hand to unbolt it by keeping the old alternator steady and to but the control arm back (the hardest part). If you get Khoa as your mechanic, you will not regret it!

Khoa arrived early, and finished very timely. In our brief conversation, he was very knowledgeable.

Answers to common Volvo questions

Q: Heater hose leak
Answered by Jay
I recommend that you have a mechanic, like one from YourMechanic, check your vehicle out for you. The mechanic can pressure test the cooling system, and replace any leaking hoses (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/coolant-is-leaking-inspection).
Q: Car sluggish and wants to stall in 2nd gear.
Answered by Robert
Hi there. From your explanation of the problem it sounds like you are experiencing the onset of a transmission failure. A mechanic would drain the fluid from the transmission and inspect it for metal or debris in the fluid which...
Q: Car tries to turnover but won't start
Answered by Eduardo
Hi there. If your car is not turning over, despite a new battery and a jump, then it is probably not a battery problem. It may be possible that there may be a problem with the vehicle's starter, or starting...
Q: Plug from camshaft position sensor corroded.
Answered by Jay
Even though you can get the car to start and run by sticking the wires into the connector, it will not keep out moisture and it could corrode even more. I would recommend having a mechanic inspect the sensor and...
