TJ was great - communicated via text and email prior to arrival, and was very friendly in person. He seemed to genuinely care about providing an accurate check of my car, and answered any questions that I had!

Carlos came out to my wife's work to help us solve a problem with our volvo that wouldn't start and was displaying all sort of funky error codes. After a brief investigation, Carlos determined correctly that the battery was dead. He went out to an auto parts store, got the battery, brought it back and replaced it. Turns out that's all she needed :) He was courteous, efficient, and friendly. A true professional and trustworthy mechanic.

Answers to common Volvo 262 questions

Q: Car shaking on the freeway
Answered by Reggie
Sounds like a serious performance issue. But a problem like this is usually a predecessor to something more serious. If you're right and the problem is fuel related, your problem could be in the fuel supply system. The fuel supply...
Q: Engine System Service Urgent message
Answered by Carlos
This sounds like a check engine light is on and there are codes waiting to be retrieved. Have a certified mechanic, like one from YourMechanic, scan for codes and diagnose your system message (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/check-engine-light-is-on-inspection).
Q: Car won't start but will turn over - 2007 Volvo S40
Answered by Robert
Hi there. If the belt broke, then it may have damaged some of the wiring. When the belt breaks, it can hit the wiring going to the crankshaft position sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/crankshaft-position-sensor-replacement) which will keep the vehicle from starting. I usually...
Q: My car has done 37,500 miles service but it only has 33,300 miles, what kind of maintenance do I need?
Answered by Kevin
The maintenance reminder system (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/reset-maintenance-reminder-system) is not strictly mileage based. If 12 months elapse, without an intervening re-set, the light will come on simply because the engine oil should be changed at 12 months even if the 7,500 mileage interval...

Trusted by thousands of happy car owners

Tom went above and beyond to make me as satisfied as I could be. His communication was excellent. Friendly and professional and best if all, my car is running great and he did it without unnecessary repairs. I would and will highly recommend Tom and Your Mechanic to everyone. Thanks, Rob Miller.

I can't say enough about how pleased I am that I found YourMechanic and Raul. I'm from out of town and didn't know who to contact to fix a truck I was borrowing. I searched the web and found YourMechanic.....thank goodness. I found Raul to be professional, an outstanding mechanic and the price was more than fair.

Yourmechanic.com is a woman's prayered answered. My stress was zero. I didn't have to drop off the car and wait for an outrageous quote from the corner mechanic. I was able to schedule and know the price immediately. I will use yourmechanic.com from now on. If you are in the Las Vegas area. I recommend requesting Scott Franklin. He goes above and beyond customer service.
