Hello. It sounds like the clutch disc is backwards. If it is then it will act this way. You will either need to remove the transmission again or have a certified shop do it.

The engine in your particular model was equipped with a timing chain, not a belt. The screeching noise that you are describing could be due to a faulty bearing in a pulley that is in the "circuit" of components driven...

The bearing will have to be replaced. I recommend having a reputable transmission handle this repair. I also suggest having the clutch and pressure plate replaced while they are in there.
