Q: Starting issues

Sometimes my car will and won't start sometimes it act like it wants to hesitate like it's something draining the battery but it's been times I have turned the key over it it will make sometimes a clicking sound but my lights and things will come on and if it don't start I will get a jump and it will start right up I'm confused and I need help and advice please
