I already did an oil change and replaced the oil pressure switch and still the same. Mechanic's Assistant: How old is your oil pump? Has the check engine light come on? 12 years. No engine light has not come on Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Corolla yourself? What have you tried so far? Yes. I repkaced the engine oil pressure switch and did an oil change. Hi, my name is\*\*\*\*\*’ve been a technician on Just Answer since 2007 and I'll be helping you today. I'm sorry to hear you are having difficulties with your vehicle. I know how inconvenient car trouble is, but together, we will get your vehicle back up and running quickly. You're going to want to get an oil pressure gauge and check the oil pressure. It's possible the oil pump is worn out or wearing out. If the mechanical pressure is good, then it's likely a wiring issue. At idle fully warmed up the oil pressure should be 4.3 psi or more, then at 3000 rpms it should be 43-78 psi

Thanks so much. I will try that.

My friend's car is vibrating
The symptoms you described do make it sound like an issue with the torque converter. It sounds like, while you're driving, the torque converter lock up clutch is slipping occasionally, causing the vibration to happen. It is possible that there...
After being serviced, car ignited under passenger seat
The scenario of raw fuel being dumped into the catalytic converter causing extreme heat to possibly ignite a fire is a plausible scenario. It is generally not good business to perform a tune-up and send a customer out in a...
Brakes hard to press
If this is not related to any vacuum leaks, the next place to check would be the brake booster itself (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/hydraulic-brake-booster-replacement). As you press the brake pedal down, a shaft inside the brake booster moves forward into a diaphragm, which...
my transmission is "slipping" 3% of the time
Hello. From what you describe, it would appear that your transmission is beginning to slip (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/gears-slipping-when-accelerating-inspection). This can be caused by many things. The first thing I would do is check the vehicle's transmission. Automatic transmission use fluid pressure to...
car surges when idle or in park. rpm bounce. car has cut off, but cuts back on.
It sounds like your idle air control valve could be failing. The idle air control valve is responsible for maintaining the proper amount of air into the intake while the vehicle is slowing down to a stop and resuming idle...
