You're going to want to get an oil pressure gauge and check the oil pressure. It's possible the oil pump is worn out or wearing out. If the mechanical pressure is good, then it's likely a wiring issue.
At idle fully warmed up the oil pressure should be 4.3 psi or more, then at 3000 rpms it should be 43-78 psi
