Q: RPM problem - 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser

asked by on

After starting to drive in gear 3 or 4, RPM gauge go up around 3500 then go down again to normal (2000 rpm).

I need to know if this problem from clutch or anything else

My car has 100000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.

You may be having clutch slippage that is causing the RPM to flare up until it grabs. I recommend having a mechanic road test the vehicle to diagnose the slipping and verify whether you are in need of a clutch replacement.
