Q: Replaced radiator fan with battery disconnected, when I hooked everything back up I had no electrical power at all.

asked by on May 22, 2017

I just replaced my radiator fan assembly because my car was intermittently over heating and I found that the radiator fan would just shut off on it's own accord. As far as I could tell it was the control module but I replaced everything as I could get the part same day. I left my negative terminal disconnected during the maintenance and reconnected it once I was finished and found I had no electrical function of my vehicle. The battery is showing 11.5v, the terminal connections are tight and not corroded, I'm still showing 11.5v at the grounding strap connection to the body, have continuity in all my fuses, and ran out of ideas.

My car has 87000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
