If you have manual folding outside mirrors, you have the means to move your mirrors inward to prevent potential damage (it can also be used during storage). Folding the mirrors in allows your car to fit through narrower spaces. Here’s how to do it:

1. Grab the outside edge of the mirror housing.

2. Pull the mirror housing toward the window.

3. Stop once the mirror has folded inward.

4. Fold it back out when you’re done.

Don’t attempt to fold outward too far. Stop when you feel the click, or you could damage the folding mechanism.
