How do I properly wear a seat belt?

Seat belts are extremely important safety features, that can save your life in the event of an accident. However, seat belts should always be worn properly, or else the full extent of their safety features may not be utilized. When using a seatbelt, follow a few basic rules: 1. Make sure that the belt is never loose, or twisted. 2. The lap strap should run over the hips. It should not dig into the abdomen, or run across the thighs or lower. 3. The shoulder strap should run across the shoulder. It should not run along the side of the arm, or into the neck, and it should never be worn underneath the arm.
