Q: EBD lights on intermittently

asked by on July 16, 2017

EBD warning lights are on intermittently, at time while driving they come and go usually if you hit a bump first TPMS comes and then EBD; combination of ABS and Brake warning lights. if warning light come while starting car, shift lever would be jammed in park position, it can be bypassed though by inserting screwdriver in slot or unlock shift stick. It can also be bypassed by opening closing driver side door few times in combination of locking unlocking car which finally makes warning lights go away with a slight tick noise. Problem keeps coming back, sometimes few times a day and other times not once for over a month.

I never had a problem in normal work commute braking, didn't get into situation where ABS would actually engage.

This is a pre-owned car I bought 6 months back and it shows up within a month, car fax report doesn't show any problem and title is blue.

My car has 78000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
